The monounsaturated fatty acids, particularly oleic acid, and the wealth of polyphenols contained in olive pulp make the oil derived from olives a real panacea for the human cardiovascular and immune systems. Transferring all the qualities of this fruit to the finished product, i.e. extra virgin olive oil, is an apparently simple process, but in reality a delicate and complex one during which the risk of having a negative impact on the organoleptic, nutritional and healing properties of the oil produced is very high. The processing times and methods during the transformation phase are fundamental and being able to keep all the production variables under control is crucial for those companies that want to place a certified high quality product on the international market, which is increasingly full of controls.

OIL CRUSHER 4.0 is an integrated system for the control and automation of olive oil production. It is a system that can be applied to any mill, both old and new, and makes it possible to make olive processing a process that can be parameterised, repeatable, historicised and traceable at every stage.
With the use of OIL CRUSHER 4.0 it is possible to set the entire mill, or part of it, to perform the best processing for any type of olive according to the quantity, degree of ripeness, temperatures involved and the production volumes to be obtained.
The entire system is based on the recipe concept.

A recipe represents the set of parameters to be set for all machines in order to obtain the desired processing. By creating and reusing memorised recipes, it will be possible to process the same olives, of the same type or from the same customer, in a homogeneous manner, thus guaranteeing the highest degree of quality on a consistent basis.

An electrical cabinet

It contains all the necessary power and control circuits to enable flexible, parameterisable and automatic command and control of machines. Typically the switchboard, in addition to the normal protection and control circuits, contains PLCs, inverters, data acquisition cards, interface cards and communication cards. For new realisations, switchboards are supplied already prepared and complete with all the necessary equipment, while in the case of existing installations, it is possible to modify the switchboards to make them suitable for the application, with lower costs.

An electrical connection between the switchboard and the machines

It represents the entire set of physical connections between the electrical cabinet and the machine. In order to make the crusher fully controllable via OIL CRUSHER 4.0If not present, sensors of various types must be installed: temperature, position, level, pressure. All these sensors and their actuators will then be intelligently managed by the management and automation software.

A plant management and automation software

Together with the PLC inside the control cabinet and with which communication takes place via network protocols, the management software represents the intelligent part of OIL CRUSHER 4.0. Developed entirely with the latest software technologies, through simple and intuitive graphic pages it is possible to view the status of the plant, create new recipes, manage all parts of the process, monitor and display alarms, call up production reports and print them.

Modern

The software of OIL CRUSHER 4.0 has been developed using the latest available technologies. It can be easily interfaced, accessed and integrated with all WEB technologies. For example, you can view your system remotely simply by having a PC or Smartphone connected to the Internet.

The architecture of the application is such that the crusher can be managed in one or more locations that can operate independently and simultaneously.

Scalable

The software can be used for all types of mills, regardless of size. It can therefore control the single line for the small local producer or multi-line plants for cooperatives and large production companies, while maintaining the precision and repeatability of the operations carried out and the controls performed.

Customisable

Starting from the developed base, all aspects of the software can be customised to meet the particular production needs of the individual plant and its user.
